Carefree Gertie Darling is engaged to Algy Brooks but she is also pursued by bachelor Barry Scott, and the married Jimmy Felton. But her real trouble is an ostentatious gift of a jeweled garter from her previous fiance Ken Walrick, and she needs to return it before Algy discovers her past. Ken also wants the gift to disappear to protect his current engagement to Teddy Desmond. Hilarity and laughs follow as the pair try to conceal their past indiscretion.
