Quality note: We are pleased to offer this rare silent but the print did suffer from a few scenes which were rather dark. The film is still quite enjoyable but occasionally it is difficult to see the entire scene. Overall the dark segments are few and of short duration.

Marcia Livingston, orphan ward of Judge Tracey, is the sole beneficiary to the lush Livingston timber tract. The source of her ample income the timber operation is kept running by an old deal with Madam du Pont that assures river access, yet old Madam du Pont also wants to select Marcia's husband and she has already picked out the man: Dennis Shawn the honest and hardworking manager of the Livingston tract who has kept it profitable despite attempts by the United Timber Gang to shut it down. However Dennis has no more interest in marrying a spoiled rich girl then Marcia has in wedding a man she has never meet, but Madam du Pont won't take no for an answer and by threatening to sale out to the competition she pressures the couple into a wedding over the telephone!
