Mauritz Stiller
(07/17/1883 - 11/18/1928)

Born Moshe Stiller in Helsinki, Finland he worked as an actor in the Swedish Theatre of Helsinki. Would later become one of the primary directors of early Swedish film, rivaled only by Victor Sjöström. Main works include Herr Arnes pengar (1919), Erotikon (1920) and Gösta Berlings saga (1924), the latter starring Greta Garbo.
